While a tight schedule is being prepared for the fifth generation national warplane, an important step will be taken tomorrow. Within the scope of the "National Combat Aircraft" project carried out under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries, a special complex was created within TAI.
The TAI TF-X is a fifth-generation stealth twin-engine all-weather air superiority fighter in development by Turkish Aerospace Industries and BAE Systems as its sub-contractor. The aircraft is planned to replace F-16 Fighting Falcons of the Turkish Air Force and to be exported to foreign nations.
The opening of the National Combat Aircraft Engineering Center will be held tomorrow with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Equipped with high security and technology on an area of 65 thousand square meters, the complex will allow 2 thousand 300 engineers to work during the day without leaving the building.
The center will also include an autonomous library, dining hall, medical center and many sports fields. Right next to the center, where 2,300 engineers will work, there will be a hangar where the aircraft will be built. This will be a structure that is isolated from the outside, has its own communication infrastructure and high computational computers.
