5 Next Generation Anti Drone Technologies

Anti-drone technology is an increasingly necessary security precaution as drones become more popular. Discover the latest and best anti-drone defences, from signal jamming to cyberattacks, to keep unauthorized drones from entering your airspace.

Advanced Radar Detectors

Radar detectors can use complex algorithms and sensors to detect drones even in the most cluttered environments. Using real-time data processing and advanced signal filtering, these systems can interpret intricate wave patterns to accurately identify unmanned aircraft up to several kilometres away. Utilizing this technology, radar detectors offer an effective countermeasure against drone incursions.

Radio Frequency Jammers

Radiofrequency jammers can disable a drone's communication links, effectively cutting off the operator's control. These devices create an interference field that disrupts the signal between the drone and its controller, deactivating it mid-flight. RF jammers have been particularly successful in conflict zones and sensitive installations, offering reliable protection of critical infrastructure.

Photonic Barriers

As drone technologies continue to evolve, so too must defensive strategies. Photonic barriers create a laser-based perimeter around airspace that is impenetrable by drones. These invisible barriers trigger automatic alerts when an unauthorized drone attempts a crossing, enabling operators to quickly and easily protect their airspace.

Night Vision Cameras

Night vision cameras are another effective anti-drone technology. These specialized cameras detect, track and distinguish drones from other objects in the dark by using infrared lighting and imaging. With night vision cameras, operators can capture detailed images of each drone in their airspace, allowing them to analyze them for intent.

Active Denial Systems

Active Denial Systems (ADS) use radar technology to detect, identify, and track incoming drones and then jam their communications in mid-flight. By using High Power Microwave energy, ADS can create a pulse that travels faster than the speed of sound. This pulse targets a drone's electronic components, forcing it to turn back or land before reaching its intended destination.
